Independence Day Celebration, 2019
Description: St. Joseph’s School, Naini celebrated the most auspicious occasion of 73rd Independence Day of our Nation and Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The ceremony started with the arrival of our esteemed chief guest Sir V.S. Dutta, chief Editor of Northern Indian Patrika, commemorating the sovereignty of our nation, our chief guest unfurled the tricolor and all in unison sang the National Anthem. Taking the celebration forward on the red letter day the importance of the day was explained by a student, followed by the prayers and a beautiful prayer dance. The tiny Josephites of LKG and UKG made everyone tap their feet through their amazing and innocent performances. Patriotic dances on ‘Kesari’ and ‘Sena Ka Balidan’ by the students awakened everyone’s patriotic feeling and also brought tears to the eyes. The musical rendition by the school choir and the patriotic skit which explained the true meaning of ‘Independence’ added stars to the celebration. Our chief guest sir V.S Dutta who has witnessed the proud day of our independence was a delight to have, he shared the mixed feeling of happiness and sorrow, he had experienced because of the independence and refugee at that time, he praised the performances of the students and said that, all the performances had a worthy message and were presented in a short span of time. As a worthy advice to the students, he quoted the lines “ Hum laaye hai toofan se …………………. Mere desh ko rakhna mere bacho sambhal ke”. With his pious hands, he also released our school annual magazine and blessed each one of us. The celebration was concluded with the School Anthem.
